posted onOctober 27, 2017

Dean and Dan Caten (né Catenacci), are Canadian businessmen and fashion designers. They are twin brothers and founders and owners of Dsquared², an international fashion house.

The Catens were born in 1964 in Toronto, Ontario, grew up in Willowdale and started their path in fashion at the Parson’s School of Design in New York City in 1984. Eight years later, the Canadian duo moved to Italy with their sights set on creating their brand. After collaborating with some of Italy’s most celebrated fashion houses, like Gianni Versace, and Diesel, in 1995 the designers debuted their first men’s collection under the label Dsquared2. In 2003, they launched a women's collection and a men's underwear collection. Naturally, the brand expanded its horizons with product diversification: accessories, footwear, perfumes and childrenswear.
